Last Wednesday, Disney announced that they had cast actress and singer Halle Bailey to play Ariel in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jacob Tremblay is set to play Flounder, Akwafina will play Scuttle, and Melissa McCarthy will take on the role of Ursula—a casting direction that prompted ‘Truth Hurts’ singer Lizzo to toss her hat into the casting suggestion ring.

However, fans have their own ideas about who should star in The Little Mermaid remake—and they’ve made them known by tweeting “hear me out” alongside a photo of their pick for the various roles in the film.
Among the most hilarious (and appropriate) are Guy Fieri as Ursula, Samuel L. Jackson as Poseidon, Jerry Seinfeld as Prince Eric, and Snoop Dogg as Flounder.
