People Are Editing Movie Posters To More Accurately Describe The Movies (21 Pics)

There’s a new Twitter game that is deeply satisfying to movie buffs and jokesters alike. Created by comedian Joe McAdam, the goofy premise is very simple. McAdams shared an altered poster for the film Taxi Driver starring Robert De Niro, captioning it, “Movie titles should be more descriptive, I don’t want any surprises.”

The poster now reads “Weird Taxi Driver.” Wow. Accurate.

It’s pretty ridiculous to expect a movie’s title to accurately convey everything you’re gonna get from a movie. Many are deliberately mysterious or referential to only one specific thing in the film.

And some warned of the dangers of misleading movie titles:

A lot of people joined the game, trying to change movie posters to be more accurate with just a word or two. Others completely changed everything, which isn’t quite the game, but they’re trying. These will still give you a laugh and maybe even convince you to watch some of these films:
