While most of the Stranger Things trailers so far have played coy with what’s going to befall the town of Hawkins, Indiana, the latest—and final—Stranger Things Season 3 trailer for the Netflix sci-fi series is a bit more blunt…and bleak.
According to the newest Stranger Things Season 3 trailer, it appears whatever evil force or being the kids of Hawkins think they sealed away in the Upside Down never left.
“You let us in and now you are going to have to let us stay,” an ominous voice says. Later in the trailer Eleven darkly notes, “It’s building something.” (Gonna go ahead and guess whatever it’s building is even more cursed than a 1980s shopping mall in middle America.)
This evil is also apparently latching on to a new host—Stranger Things Season 2 bad boy Billy Hargrove. It’s a match made in hell!
In case you need a refresher, Billy was the giant screaming assh*le from Season 2 who showed up in a blue Camaro. He was the new kid from California and his redheaded little sister Max has a little thing for Lucas.
Obviously the Hawkins kids feel responsible for fighting back against the entity, and Eleven’s supernatural powers are gonna come in handy to keep this monstrous beast at bay.
But mostly I’m here for more scenes with Steve acting as a father figure to Dustin, and finding out what this green ooze is all about.
