There are certain things you do not take away from the people, and McDonald’s has had a history of NOT listening to the people. The McRib and Shamrock Shake are only available when the fast-food corporation feels like it and Mickey D’s ripped Hi-C Orange Lavaburst out of our lives in 2017.
It’s the little things that count, and McDonald’s learned that lesson when they pulled Hi-C Orange Lavaburst from its menu in 2017.
Why?
Because they had a partnership with Sprite, so they added TropicBerry and chucked the drink that has been in our hearts and souls since 1955.
My heart hurts, RIP Orange Hi-C at McDonald’s (-∞-2017) you will never be forgotten. pic.twitter.com/CWwICx2Dcw

On Feb. 10, McDonald’s announced Hi-C Orange would be in select locations starting this month, with all locations having the drink by June.
It was a big deal.

“The loyal fandom of this deliciously fun and fruity beverage that teases your taste buds dates back to 1955, when it first debuted on McDonald’s menus,” a press release read. “The non-carbonated Hi-C Orange Lavaburst drink returns to menus alongside the carbonated Fanta® Orange offering, making our legendary orange drink roster once again complete.
This part’s great. McDonald’s developed a special website for people to track when the drink will be available in their area. The Hi-C tracker goes live Feb. 15, so be ready.
