There are two kinds of people: People who love pun jokes and aren’t ashamed to admit it and people who dramatically proclaim how much they hate pun jokes at every opportunity. What’s clear from this divide is that puns are something people have strong feelings about.
Puns have power and a simple pun joke can elicit visceral groans from pun-lovers and pun-haters alike.
That said some puns push the limits, reaching either transcendent comedic heights or disgusting bottom-feeding lows. No risk, no reward.
