The Chads and Beckys of recent years have been replaced by a new cultural obsession: The Karen. The term is usually meant to describe a white woman, who may or may not have an angular haircut, but who definitely wants to speak to your manager. Karens are also the type to call the police at a moment’s notice if you take a certain tone with them or if you’re having a BBQ that they disagree with.
“Karens” are so immediately recognizable that the concept has turned into a meme.
