The American healthcare system is the laughingstock of the industrialized world, or as Americans put it: “Number One.”
Not only is healthcare in the USA absurdly tied to employment, absurdly expensive, and bound to a downright malicious insurance industry…it’s unnecessarily bad. It doesn’t have to be like this. We know this because just about every other industrialized democracy has figured out a better system that us to give their citizens universal, affordable healthcare.
As such the meme-smiths on Reddit and elsewhere have taken to making fun of the American healthcare system, sometimes cheekily posting their memes late at night with the message “The Americans are asleep, quick post free healthcare memes!”
