No one has parents who are utterly normal.
Even the most mild-mannered families have been known to dabble in weirdness on the regular, and most of us have hilariously cringe-y tales of strange familial occurrences that usually end with some form of “Maybe you just had to be there.” Whether it’s your dad’s bizarre social media proclivities or your mom’s corny puns, our parents have all acted like weirdos at some point or another. (For me, it’s a pretty regular occurrence.)
Here are some particularly memorable and entertaining instances of other people’s parents acting like complete and total (lovable) oddballs — because what’s the point of experiencing the weirdness if you can’t use it for entertainment’s sake?

Similar situation. In a bar on hols with my teen daughter, scrolling through my phone when the barman came to the table & slid a piece of paper with a number on it towards me. Me, acting all flattered but coy “sorry, I’m in a relationship”…it was the WiFi code. #embarrassingmom
