Depending on whom you ask graffiti is either a public art form or a public nuisance. Some people view it as a sign of urban decay while others prize it as the voice of the streets, a public form of expression and often protest.
While some graffiti artists seek to make a point and others simply want to tag as many surfaces as they can, there are artists who attempt a totally different aesthetic, integrating their art into its surroundings in seamless or surprising ways. This form of graffiti has been perfected by a South African artist named Falko One whose beautiful and clever graffiti creations have likely resulted in countless double-takes from passersby.
Falko’s works, which you can see on Instagram, interact with the shapes and structures around them, incorporating buildings and skylines and often featuring elephants and other animals.
