As a barista (or really any type of minimum wage job) you have almost literally no power against people who treat you like shit. I can personally verify that coffee customers are some of the rudest I’ve encountered and will call you stupid for not remembering what they order for them. Usually covering your nametag and asking if they even know your name helps put them in their place.
People who work in customer-facing jobs are always looking for those little wins and someone on Reddit’s AITA page found a way to get revenge on those complaining customers. Fake getting fired.
