11. Cut the stimulation
“Basically lack of motivation comes from overstimulated brain. Simply put you should limit (or give up altogether) using porn, internet, cigarettes, coffee. Start working out (and I don’t mean f-yourself up in gym, just do running for 10 minutes a day), meditation, and sleep well. I know it sounds like 2+2 = 4. But if you actually try it you will be shocked how life will change.” –AncientBattleCat
12. Get a living wage
“Getting a living wage and not working myself to death.. And I’m saying this realizing that it’s something not entirely in many people’s control. It’s so important though and why I really advocate that everyone regardless of their job get a living wage. It’s so hard to get motivated when you work your ass off and get just barely enough to survive in return.” –jergentehdutchman
13. Throw away your crutches
“I stopped smoking weed. Among other changes in my life this was the one that I absolutely did not want to give up but also has had the greatest impact. Smoking didn’t really cause any issue but rather made me complacent with the issues I already had. By taking away what made me “satisfied” with my life I was able to work towards activities that truly made me happy. –maxncheese167
14. Make a list
“You’ve got to look at where you are, and realize it sucks. Then you look at where you want to be, and start taking the steps to get there. It’s the only way that ever works, and none of it is easy. It worked for me once to get a notebook and write down the things I have to do … adding things as I go, basically. Took me months to get to the bottom of my to-do list, but it worked.” –WasterDave
15. Take your pick
“Psilocybin, gym, quitting porn/masturbation, cutting sugar out of my diet.” –GoDavyGo
16. Make your bed
“Making the bed.” –grass1103
