Finding out one of your “best friends” is a jerk is one of the more disappointing parts of life. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen often, or ever, but when it does it’s a real bummer.
Take this story shared by Redditor u/cameronjames222 for example. He went out of his way to help a friend out by letting him use his truck and camper to go to a Spartan race competition out of state so they have a place to stay.
Although he didn’t feel comfortable with them driving it themselves, he offered to drive them and stay while they went to their competition. Pretty generous, right?

So, when his friends locked him out of his own camper because “there wasn’t enough room” when it came time for bed, he had to sleep in his truck.
Leaving him furious, the next day he decided to pack everything up and head out just as his friends were getting back to the campsite.
