So much of academic writing can be really dry and hard to get through. There’s no doubt it’s hard to show any sense of humor when talking about microbiology or infectious disease models. Scientists who are desperate to add some pizazz in their paper have found a way to add a good pun or an offensive joke through funny science paper titles.
Scientists on Twitter have started sharing all the best ones they’ve stumbled across when reading articles and none of them disappoint. All that I ask is that scientists don’t start all being funny. There’s just no way us regular folk can compete with that.
