Having open DMs on pretty much any social media platform can be a real downer for any woman with a public profile. You absolutely WILL get horrible messages all the time, especially if you have a larger following That sucks, because there are some jobs or networking opportunities where having open DMs is necessary or at the very least extremely helpful. Yes, you could close them to protect yourself, but why can’t some people just stay TF out and mind their business?
It’s a question that has no answer yet. Asking it doesn’t seem to do much good either. Bros with the sad little kink for showing off their peepee to unwilling women seem to think that their need to violate consent is the priority here. Shame doesn’t work. But maybe fear can.
Twitter user @FruityNesa posted about how she dealt with one persistent pervert in her DMs, sharing screenshots of a conversation she had with one and captioning it, “I don’t typically post DMs but I was really proud of this one.”
In the first panel the guy asks, “Would you laugh at my tiny penis.” She responds, “Please, do not send me a picture of your penis.”
He then sends her a picture of his penis. What a surprise!
She then responds with this:
This is an automated message generated by the Twitter team. Your image has been found to be a violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1283 (2020).
An image you sent has been scanned by our AI Bot and was flagged as an unsolicited picture. Your account is scheduled to be reported to the police.
Our bot is currently in BETA testing; sometimes it makes mistakes. If you believe this message was in error, reply “HELP” Otherwise, you will be contacted by your local authorities within 24hrs.
What’s even more pathetic than his need to assault women is that the guy fell for it. “HELP,” he writes.
“No f*ck you,” she replies. The whole exchange was enormously popular on Twitter, with people applauding her quick thinking and convincing response to the unwanted photo.
Gwahaha
He really typed “HELP”.

Probably has a wife and kids and there was no way to explain the police coming to their home.

As a guy, I feel somewhat responsible for insuring this toxic masculinity comes to an end. I love your response. Thanks for sharing!

That IS genius! 🙂
…the ‘help’ reply has actual tears in it; I can almost hear them 😉

This made me laugh more then it should.

And someone tweaked the message slightly to make it even more believable:
This is very well done! Someone also mentioned changing the language of “unsolicited picture” to “explicit photo” or something similar.
Also, nice catch on the missing “s” in “makes”
Every little detail to make it believable 😉

Now, if only we could make sending an unsolicited d—k pic into something with actual consequences, it would really be perfect.
