TikToker Roasts “Reasons Why We’re Glad To Be Back in the Office” List From Her Company

Since the pandemic, those of us who have gotten used to the work-from-home life are now struggling to find a good enough reason to go back to the office. Especially when it seems like there’s been no change in productivity, why not just continue working this way? For some employees, this lifestyle is preferred but there are many companies who want things to go back to the way things were.

TikToker Sammy Jay is one of those employees and in a video series, she’s calling ‘Back In The Actual Office,’ she shares what that transition back into office life has been like.

In a video titled, “21 Reasons Why We’re Glad To Be Back in the Office” Sammy breaks down an email sent out by her employer listing the benefits of going back to the office.

I just don’t know where to start with this. I recently had to go back into the office for two days a week after working from home for three years. Obviously after Covid and everything. You’re not gonna believe what my company is doing now. Let’s put the office on and see what they did.

Number 1: The commute.

The commute is time to yourself. Take an hour each day to reflect, and maybe listen to a podcast if you’re stuck in traffic. Are they having an actual f***

Number 2: The Friendships

The friendships? No, that one. That’s totally true, yeah.

Number 3: The Food Options

Are they talking about Steve’s van that comes and parks outside twice a day, you have to stand in the rain to get to. They’re comparing that to my kitchen, where I can cook anything I want anytime? Excellent.

Number 8: Formal Clothes

It’s nice to have the excuse to dress up in formal office wear. Shut up, shut up. Nobody’s choosing bra and shoes if they don’t need to, not a person on this planet. Mike’s been bloody microwaving fish curry again. I bet that’s the food options that I’m supposed to be pleased about, is it?
