Being pregnant can be a scary experience, but finding out you’re pregnant the same day you deliver a baby is way more intense. Ever so often, women go through a pregnancy completely unaware that there’s a baby brewing inside their bellies, that is until one day they’re unexpectedly the mother of a full-term child. Shows like I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant somewhat prepared us for crazy situations like this, but it’s still shocking to hear of a similar case.
One young woman recently went viral on TikTok after she joked about her surprise delivery a year ago to the day. As a happy birthday to her child, or as she refers to the little girl, “Frat baby,” Kayla Simpson (kaylanicolesimpson) posted a video captioned, “I was a sophomore in college @ a party…”
Her video took off, with over 2.5 million likes as of this week.
As Kayla dances to the music with her baby, she continues to add multiple different captions as the story progresses. “9 months later, I went to the hospital thinking I had appendicitis…Doctors didn’t know what was wrong in the E.R….While they were doing an ultrasound my mom saw something familiar on the screen…Seconds later I started screaming in pain and the doctor ran in…”
She continued, “It was a head!! I was rushed up to give birth. I pushed her out 15 min later in 3 tries…I had no bump, my period and was the skinniest I’ve ever been…Came home 2 days later with a perfectly healthy baby and my best friend…She’s now about to turn 1 and we are doing amazing!”
Viewers could not comprehend how Kayla was so “chill” about the entire situation. Making valid points like “This is possibly the only way I could handle being pregnant.”
