People online love to share life hacks, but often times they’re not as useful as they claim. However, I think we finally have one that you’ll find incredibly useful, but it only works if you live near a busy Domino’s Pizza franchise.
In a viral TikTok, creator Lina Hara shares how you can get a free pizza from Domino’s Pizza.
While holding a Dominic’s Pizza box, Lina explains, “My local Domino’s takes a very long time to process orders,” typically an hour to 90 minutes.
She doesn’t mind the wait because she’s smart about ordering with enough time to spare.
But when the pizza is delivered, there’s typically an apology email from Domino’s, offering her 20% off her next order…or a free pizza.
“Of course, I’m gonna get the free pizza,” she says. “So this is currently the apology pizza for the apology pizza for the apology pizza for the apology pizza for the original pizza I ordered.” Brilliant, right?
Although Dominos Pizza no longer guarantees your pizza to arrive in “30 minutes or less” following a $79 million jury award to a St. Louis woman who was injured when a Domino’s driver struck her car.
That being said, customers still expect delivery in a reasonable amount of time, which is why the “20% off or a free pizza” email still exists. You can even send a complaint through the Domino’s Pizza Tracker app if you didn’t receive the email.
It’s no surprise that Lina is not the only person who has discovered this free pizza hack. The top comment on the video reads, “QUIET! I’ve been using these for free pizza for months. It’s the only way I can afford it.”
Some viewers are also worried that Domino’s may discontinue the refund policy now that the video has gone viral.
One commenter said, “sometimes it is okay to gatekeep things because they’re for sure creating a new policy over this lol.” Another added, “Wait I don’t want this to blow up so they don’t fix the glitch lol.”
However, there are many who aren’t too concerned about Hara exposing this Dominos Hack.
One viewer said, “Honestly they’re probably aware of this but they don’t care because you’re still returning to order pizza.” Another commenter added, “As a former Domino’s delivery driver, I can tell you with certainty that as long as you tip your driver, no one at the store cares one bit.”
Corporate pizza giants like Domino’s likely consider this a worthwhile expense as it keeps their customers coming back for more. So even though the secret is out, this free pizza hack is probably here to stay.
