It seems like every week we hear from someone who delivers for one of the many app companies about how frustrating it can be. By now we all know they don’t seem to be very helpful to the delivery person in frustrating situations.
The latest story comes from TikToker Maliyah Gibbs who was in the middle of picking a huge order for Instacart, but all of a sudden it disappeared. She reached out to Instacart for help and was met with a pretty disrespectful response.
Maliyah works as a shopper for Instacart as a side job.
When she saw a 125-item order at the Central Market in her Instacart account, with a $191 tip she immediately got to work.
All of a sudden, the order disappeared. Turns out, the customer canceled the order.
The helpdesk person said the company could only refund her $7 for the order.
She disagreed with the helpdesk employee because she spent so much time picking the order
The helpdesk worker said that he may block her account
Commenters overwhelmingly sided with Maliyah in this situation. Some say they’ve had similar experiences.
