“Not Me Having A Mental Breakdown”— Ross Employee Accidentally Gives Customer Way Too Much Change On Her Third Day Of Work

On her third day of work at her new job, TikToker Melly (official_melly), accidentally gave a Ross Dress For Less customer $57 in change. The customer only needed $34 and Melly’s manager was forced to chase him out the door to resolve the matter.

Melly posted a TikTok in the aftermath of the break room, fighting back tears as she snacks her worries away and explaining that she was under a lot of pressure. The text overlay reads, “it’s my third day at my new job and I’ve already gave a customer 57 dollars when he only needed 34 while my manager chased him down the door. She told me to go take my break ima go kms.”

The TikTok went viral, with over 300k views.

Viewers of the video offered Melly their support, explaining that they had done much worse and she shouldn’t stress about it too much.

Later on, Melly posted a video update on the situation. According to the TikToker, her manager placed her in the fitting rooms for the rest of her shift. She vented about her anxiety in the text overlay, writing, “not me having a mental break down after she said ‘it’s ok you be doing the fitting rooms till closing.’”
