A neighborhood feud recently broke out between TikTokers Chris and Madison and their neighbor who started the war by using their house’s gutters to tie up her snow fence. The drama received heaps of views, likes, and comments on the popular social media app TikTok.
Conflict first started when chrismadison15 posted a seven-second clip of him cutting off the tie job on a snow fence with a text overlay that reads: “Our new neighbor decided to zip tie her snow fence to our gutters today.”
Chris uses a pair of scissors to cut the zip ties off of the gutter with a text overlay that reads: “So I cut it off and moved it back into her yard…tomorrow should be interesting.” And was it ever!
This first move against his neighbor turned out to be just the beginning of the drama between the two, which lasted for several TikToks. Chris said that afterwards, he asked his neighbor to not tie their fence to their gutters, but their response to this issue was to passive-aggressively pile up a bunch of items against their house, crossing into their property line.
Chris then decided to take matters into his own hands, and out of his yard, by removing all of the items his neighbor stacked up against his home in order to keep the snow fence from falling down. This notion only appeared to have further contributed to the drama.
Chris stated that he gave his neighbor two days to try and figure out a way to secure their snow fence that didn’t involve fastening it to his home or leaving objects strewn across the side of his house, however, they failed to do that.
Chris’s neighbor pulled a fast one by once again stacking things to keep the fence upright, but leaving the objects just centimeters away from touching the actual house.
Almost in a cinematic fashion, the neighbors’ dispute continued to escalate, involving motion detector alarms, moving of personal items back and forth, and even written signs warning the ‘Karen’ neighbor that Chris and his family were “watching” her. Karen responded to this by placing two cameras in her window pointed towards where the snow fence was set up.
After several days in World War III- winter edition, the two continued to act without communication. Allegedly, the neighbor ended up calling the police on Chris and his family for moving her personal items off of their lawn and tossing them back into her yard.
The drama continued, petty move after petty move was made, yet still no checkmate! Chris’s wife had enough of the situation and took part in her side of the war’s advancements by throwing the array of objects over to the neighbors side of the yard.
Even after being addressed by the police for piling random things against Chris’s house, she snuck outside once again and reassembled the pile. When Chris’s family removed the items in response, she called the police again.
As of this time, this is where the Snow Fence Saga stands between the two neighbors, though updates seem to be coming in on the daily. Chris has stated that he’s planning on enlisting the help of an attorney with a cease-and-desist letter along with a privacy fence to separate him from his neighbor.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a movie adaptation of this saga in theaters within the next couple of years, so keep your eyes peeled, and never forget the origins of the Snow Fence War!
In an anti-climatic statement from the police, they told Chris to “try to get along with her.”
