Teenager Quits Job Dunkin Donuts After Being Forced To Close The Store Alone In Viral TikTok

Since the pandemic, employers in the U.S. are having a hard time keeping employees or even finding new hires.

There’s a lot of debate about what the actual cause of this is, but there’s no question that things like inflation and the fact that minimum wage hasn’t really budged in years haven’t helped the cause.

Employees are holding employers accountable and TikToker @KellyMariamm is just the latest to leave her job after putting up with unreasonable responsibilities.

The 17-year-old was working at Dunkin Donuts one night when she found out she’d be closing the store alone after a scheduling mistake by the management

Now, a good manager would take some responsibility for their mistake and maybe, at the very least, come into work and help her out, but she was hung out to dry.

Kelly Shared Included Some Context In The Description

For some more context..I was completely by myself at Dunkin NEAR A HIGHWAY because the owners didn’t make the schedule correctly and no closers showed up.

The girl that was working before had been working for 10 hours straight with no break and had to leave at 5:30 when she was supposed to get off at 4.

We kept letting the owners and manager know, but nothing was being done so I locked myself in the store and told them this is my last day and when the owner finally showed up all she cared about was me unlocking the doors.

Commenters responded in support of Kelly’s decision. Many even said the same thing would happen to them.
