TikToker Shares Hack For Tricking Someone Into Opening A Message ASAP

Read receipts are good, in theory. I just hate the idea of reading a message and having the sender know because sometimes I just need a minute to gather my thoughts.

TikToker Daniel Hentschel talks about enabling read receipts but not responding to messages immediately. As the sender, it’s annoying because I know you’re avoiding the message now.

Daniel Hentschel reveals a handy trick for getting someone to open your message ASAP.

“When someone has read receipts on, they will intentionally not open your message until they feel like responding,” Danieal says.

In most cases, the receiver can get the gist of the message by reading the first 80-85 characters of the message on the lock screen without opening it.

So, if you want to get someone to respond to your message quickly, he suggests the first 80-85 characters to convey an urgent message so it will entice them to open it.

He shared this example in the video: “I’m in the hospital. In so much pain. I have no idea how but the doctor told me I bro—…”.

However the second half of the message isn’t so wild. Once the message is opened it reads, “I’m in the hospital. In so much pain. I have no idea how but the doctor told me I broke my back from carrying this relationship. What is holding you back from communicating with me?”

Sounds pretty alarming, right?

Daniel explains that you include your actual message in the second part of the text. In this case, the real text was “What is holding you back from communicating with me?”
