Some people get cheated on and they get sad. Other people get cheated on and they get even. That was the plan of Jade Purvis, or @jadepurvis53 on TikTok, according to a series about what she did when her partner of three years cheated on her.
In the short clip set to the song “Hope She Cheats” by Marleigh Sturgess, Purvis explains that her ex-boyfriend drove 188 miles to cheat with a woman (who she later revealed he met on Facebook).
The woman was in a relationship of over five years herself. When her boyfriend found out, he and Purvis concocted a little plan.
He drove those 188 miles to see Purvis for a little sexy payback.
It worked out too well. He “never left” and they’re not married, seven years later:
“I think we win,” she concluded.
The TikTok has been viewed over five million times, and people have a lot of opinions about her choices in the wake of betrayal.

Some people seemed to think that Purvis is just still mad at her ex, because she’s clearly still thinking about it and this is an angry song.
Others are wondering where they can sign up for life lessons from Purvis on how to create the life you want through spite:
She says in other videos that she found out about her ex cheating from the woman herself, and they initially were friends before she started “bonding” with the woman’s boyfriend. She also clarifies that her ex was her actual fiancé.

It does seem strange to base your life around something really sh-tty that someone did to you, but I seriously doubt Purvis would marry a man just to get back at another man, and stick with it for the better part of a decade. There’s such a thing as committing a little too hard to the bit. Even for revenge!
