TikToker Who Lives In A Renovated School Shows How Different Their Home Is

TikToker Riley Hansen has gone viral with his video tours of his home, which used to be an elementary school.

Hansen, @riley.lh on TikTok, kicked off the videos on March 9th with a post that showed some of the more bizarre parts of his family’s home — locker rooms in the showers and an indoor pool, for example.

The video has more than 18 million views and other TikTok users are quite taken with the strange home.

“I’ve always wanted to turn a school into a house!” one person wrote.

Hansen explained that his family renovated parts of their home and the conversion has been a work in progress since their move-in four years ago.

The house seems to be located in America, based on the American flag placed outside the home.

In another TikTok video, Hansen took his followers on a tour of the house’s bedrooms, which were once classrooms.

Hansen says that there are five bedrooms and they are all shared.

The kitchen was once a cafeteria.

The outside of the house still looks like a school and the hallways are definitely a throw-back to elementary school, but renovated bathrooms and bedrooms have carpeting.

The large, flat roof is another unique feature of the home.

Hansen said his family would like to build greenhouses on it; right now, they string lights and use the spot as a place to relax in the summer.

Hansen joked about how the building would be safe during a zombie apocalypse; the windows are high and have safety glass and the doors are thick.

There is also a gate that locks the classrooms, aka the bedrooms.

When asked why anyone would want to live in a school, Hansen pointed to how the school provided “absolutely no limitations of what you can make in it.”
