TikTokers Are Sharing Their “Wedding Rules” And Some Of The Tips Are Pretty Good

Straight up, planning a wedding is a nightmare. That’s exactly why wedding planners exist.

For those of us who can’t afford planner, there is TikTok.

Culturally, the app has gone from “one of those teen things” to a pandemic must-have to now, a treasure trove of tips and life hacks. Seriously. If you spend one hour on TikTok, you’ll receive a better education than your high school.

So far, the tag has 30.8 million views and people are having fun sharing their rules. User @flossybaby’s video received 1.1 million likes for rules that include “no kids,” “no big announcements,” “no wearing white” and “everyone must recite 1 nicki verse” to name a few. Solid rules.

In Spencer’s video, the number one wedding priority is to party.

Number two? Brother has to be the maid of honor. Awwww!

Karaoke is also involved, so we plan on attending.

Spencer also makes clear she has not consulted with her husband on these rules:

“My husband doesn’t know these yet because I don’t even have a boyfriend.”

James noticed the hashtag lacked in men’s wedding rules, so he shared his.

First priority: dress code. Red and still black tie and retro Jordan’s.

Liking it so far.

He also limits the speeches to two minutes (good idea) and demands a “whole ass entrance,” as he should.

As someone who has been married for more than a year, Abby reflected on her wedding and shared what her rules would have been.

Great insight to those on their way to the altar.

Her rules are absolutely adorable as well, with having her girls by her side at the top, seeing her husband beaming (no tears, smiles), and strutting “Cheetah Girl style.”
