A TikTok user was furious at employees of a California Starbucks for not giving her enough private time in the bathroom.
Jolie (@blesstmomma) said she was in the bathroom at a Starbucks in Sacramento trying to change feminine products when, according to her, an employee knocked on the door after just a few minutes (scroll to the end for the full video).
Jolie then recorded a confrontation that she had with the employee, who accused her of yelling at him.
The employee said, “I’m not going to allow you to continue using the facilities here because you disrespected our third place.”
(If you’re wondering what a “third place” is, that’s a Starbucks term for “a warm and welcoming environment where customers can gather and connect.”
Jolie denied that she was disrespecting anything, saying “I was respectful, but you came and knocked on the door while I was changing my tampon.”
She added, “I think you should have left me alone when I’m in your toilet.’
Then a security guard got involved, telling Jolie that he could “go hands-on if I want to.” Which we assume means, “I can throw you out of here if you don’t leave.”
Then things got weird, as another customer tearfully came up to Jolie and asked her to stop “yelling and screaming.”
The lady said her husband is dying and she comes to Starbucks to relax. She’s then led away by the employee.
So yeah. A weird situation all around. Jolie then posted a follow-up TikTok showing more of her confrontation with the security guard.
Both videos are below, so judge for yourself: Who was in the wrong?
