Fans Are Shocked At What Mia Goth’s Speaking Voice Actually Sounds Like

Mia Goth is already a very accomplished actress; she’s not even 30 yet and has an impressive list of credits — from Lars von Trier’s Nymphomania to the thriller The Survivalist and the horror film A Cure For Wellness.

More recently, she’s starred in the horror films X and Pearl which were released this year by indie production company A24.

In both movies, which are set in the same universe, Goth plays two characters: Maxine, an adult film star, and Pearl, an old woman who is also a killer.

She also does an extremely convincing Texas accent in her roles — so much so that fans believed that she actually hails from the Lone Star State.

That’s why everyone was shocked when this interview was posted on Twitter.

It wasn’t so much the content of the interview but her accent, which wasn’t Texan at all.

This sent everyone in a frenzy of confusion. THIS was our beloved Texan?

Immediately the jokes flew as to what Goth’s voice sounded like.

Others coped with disappointment (for some reason).

At the end of the day, though, all of this just proves that Goth is a great actress to have fooled all of us for this long.
