Oh, internet. Sometimes I hate you. I really do. Whenever I see some bigot filling his algorithmically manufactured online bubble with hatred, and the thousands of people within the bubble share his post and grow the bubble even bigger, I want to throw my phone into the ocean. Confine myself to a shack deep in the wilderness. But then I see a funny dog meme. And I start to think about all the funny memes I’d miss if my phone were at the bottom of the Atlantic. I think about all the brilliant tweets I’d never read if I resided deep in the wilderness, forced to sniff out truffles for sustenance like a prized pig. So I stay. I always stay because I just can’t quit you, internet. God this relationship is toxic.
