Josh Swain of Arizona might have been just joshing when he sent a Facebook message to every other person he could find named “Josh Swain,” but things got bigger than he ever predicted after it went viral online.
OG Josh Swain had jokingly told the other members of the group message they were going to battle for their name and the Josh Fight was born. The internet never forgets and one year later, almost 1000 Joshes travelled from all over the United States to fight each other with pool noodles to be declared the one true Josh.
OG Josh set up a donation page called “Support Legal Fees to Help Josh Swains Change Their Names.” The donations actually went to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation near Lincoln Nebraska. The event also gathered 100 lbs of food for a local food bank.
