Man Uses Twitter To Spell Out Lyrics To ‘Most Romantic Song In History’ And It’s Legit Impressive

The culmination of six months planning, a man on Twitter tweeted all the lyrics to what he called the “most romantic song in history” and revealed his prank on Valentine’s Day.

The man, Brendan Milove, tweeted “Theeeeeere. It. Is. After 6 months of work my Valentine’s Day Message to you is finally ready! Read the first word of each of my tweets.”

And “there” is actually the first word to start with. If you look at his tweets, the first word of each spells out “There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea,” which is the beginning to—yup—Seal’s “Kiss From A Rose.”

Here are the tweets making up the first line of the song.

And it continues from there, going through the entire song!

People on Twitter loved the joke.

It’s definitely got to be Twitter history in that the lyrics to a Seal song have probably never been slowly spelled out one by one over a period of six months, but’s not exactly Twitter history in that it’s not the first song to receive this treatment. As Milove pointed out, a Twitter user going by @CostcoRiceBag used the same format to tweet out all the words to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

And apparently another Twitter user, @dctrjack did it with “99 Problems” back in 2014.

Even though it’s technically been done before, it’s a hilarious surprise from someone who seems to have been tweeting innocuously for months. As for it being the “most romantic song in history,” well, no argument from us!
