Twitter loves to reward hot takes and also engagement tweets, meaning questions or prompts that allow a lot of people to share their thoughts. That’s why the account @TwitterMovies hit it out of the ballpark with their demand to hit them with “your most controversial move opinion.” Controversial? Opinion? MOVIES? You got it, baby.

Unfortunately, a lot of people just used the opportunity to rag on films they don’t like or think suck. While that kind of opinion will definitely start an Internet fight, it’s more interesting to read the takes about how films are created, who is rewarded for them, and what kind of changes could be made to film culture in general.
Below are some controversial movie opinions we don’t necessarily agree with, but seemed hot enough to share. Don’t get burned.
