As of October 27th of this year, Elon Musk is officially the owner of Twitter after purchasing the social media site for $44 billion.
After his initial offer to buy the site months ago the 51-year-old CEO attempted to back out so Twitter sued Musk for breaching the deal.
To avoid going to trial, Musk decided to go ahead with the deal and buy the company. Now that it’s official, “Chief Twit” he’s already started implementing changes, which has become a topic of conversation among Twitter users.
On his first day, Musk quietly changed the homepage. Now, when Twitter users are logged out, they will be redirected to the Explore page that shows trending tweets and news stories. Before, users were met with a sign-up form to encourage them to create an account to see tweets.
This is just one example of how he’s started to quickly make changes to the company.
