Ok, there’s a lot to unpack here so let’s start with what happened.
Two men went on a date. One of those men is ghosting the other. Well, he hasn’t responded to a text or a voice memo in 4 days. So, the ghostee decided to leave a note on the ghoster’s door. Oh yeah, he was able to do this because THEY LIVE IN THE SAME APARTMENT BUILDING.

This is wild on both ends, but the fact that they live in the same building and went on a date means their both wrong in my book. Don’t sh*t where you eat.
The tweet blew up when Twitter jokester Caleb Hearon (@calebsaysthing) retweeted the OP’s tweet.
went to read the replies and everybody is cooking the guy who RECEIVED the letter??????? let me stay out of it lmao. https://t.co/JFdec1gQeu

Before we get into who is right and wrong, or what the proper texting back protocol is, here is the note in full.
Ghosting seems to be the way things work these days. The apps make it so all of your interactions feel less human. It’s easier to just let someone fade away, because you barely saw them as an actual person anyway. Or people are just cowards.
The OP went on to explain himself in the thread:
He goes on…
As you can imagine, the comments are all over the place on this one. Ghosters and ghostees are two very different types of people who do not see eye to eye.
Where do you fall on this one? Personally, I believe you should just text someone back. It’s not that hard. However, you also should not, under almost any circumstances, leave a note on someone’s door.
I hope you’ve learned something from this post. Even if that thing is to reevaluate your life choices. I support you, and I’m proud of you.
