In a time when the world has never seemed more divided, let us unite around one common feeling: jean shopping sucks. We all hate it, we all dread it, and we all feel worse after it’s over, even if we manage to actually buy some jeans on the expedition. Why do we do it? After reading dozens of tweets on the subject and several months of quarantine freedom from pants, I’m beginning to think that as a society we have progressed past the need for jeans. They should become a cultural relic, like stovepipe hats.
Who am I kidding? I’ll never give up jeans, because they go with everything. Perfect versatile leg covering that matches all of my tops. When you find the right fit, you’ll wear them until they fall apart and you have to face the gauntlet of jean shopping once more. To get amped up, read these tweets. They might not make you feel better, but they’ll at least let you know that you’re not alone.
