Worked at Garden Ridge in HS. Had a customer pissy because it took me "too long" to move a patio set to their car. I had to hand carry 115 lbs. She called me a slur; the manager decided to dress ME down.

I had a 23 yr old receptionist stand up in the middle of the work day and yell “This is the most toxic environment I have ever been in.” and left. Smartest person in the company. I should have followed her.

I worked a bartender job where I put in a time off request 3 months in advance. A week before said time, my boss said he wasn’t giving it to me cuz they were short bartenders (they all quit). I told him it’s ironic, because they were about to be short another and I didn’t return.

I was making 5 an hour working in the back of a local ice cream shop. Our boss kept talking about our bonuses all week. When the time came, it was a free ice cream bar. One of the girls threw it at the wall full force so it stuck, then walked out. I was in awe of her greatness.

As a teenager, I worked in a downtown cafeteria. A pork chop fell on the floor and the owner wanted me to pick it up and place it back into the serve tray. I refused and walked out. I was 16 ,on my first job.
