When I was a kid, my mom was a teacher at my school and my dad managed a roller skating rink. My mom’s job meant that I never got in trouble at school and my dad’s job meant that when the skating rink was closed, we could turn off all the lights and skate in the dark. The walls of the rink were cement, so let’s just say it didn’t last very long.
A lot of adult jobs offer perks like medical and dental insurance, but kids don’t care about that boring adult crap. They care about the candy machine in the lobby that they know takes Chuckie Cheese Tokens or that they get to operate heavy machinery at the age of 12 if their dad’s boss is out of town.
