Being a photographer is actually part wizardry and you won’t convince me otherwise after seeing all these incredible artists sharing their work on Twitter. They’re also sharing the behind the scenes pictures of what it took to make those images.
I can kind of understand what’s happening, but I’m also looking from one to the other and screaming, “You turned THAT into THAT?!” Luckily, they can’t hear me because it’s online.
A picture frames reality, so we only see exactly what the photographer wants us to see. The square they’re offering is their edited version of reality and they have enormous power in there. You can see how just a few lights, a sheet, and some glitter can create an entire fantasy world. Some of the photographers were also showing off their Photoshop skills, which they use to expand the fantasy even wider. But most just make magic with a camera, some lighting, and an illusion. Prepare to have your mind blown:
