If you find a wallet on the ground, obviously returning it is the ethical thing to do. What about just finding cash? People have been finding money in thrift store clothing and suitcases since the invention of thrift stores. It’s a cool little bonus people get to enjoy to balance out the weirdness of wearing someone else’s pants.
However, people on Twitter seem to have not touched grass in long enough to think that if someone finds money while shopping at a thrift store they’re supposed to return it. Return it to whom, exactly? Ugh, here are some tweets from both sides of the debate.
