The internet can be a fun place, but that’s not always the case. Trolls online always like to spoil the fun for no apparent reason.
This leads me to 24-year-old Daisey Miller and her husband, Matt Beaton, 25.
The happy couple installed a regenerative garden in their yard and it’s become their favorite place to spend their free time.
They like to make coffee and breakfast and go out to the yard to spend time before work every morning.
Well, Daisy recently tweeted about how much she loves spending this time with her husband every morning,
And to her surprise, ignited a firestorm on Twitter.
People became immediately angry. Many made assumptions about the couple’s financial situation
Despite the hate, there were also many Twitter users who responded in support of Daisey and her tweet
And of course, the backlash itself became a meme
Daisey responded to the backlash in a follow-up tweet saying that those assumptions about them being “rich” were false.
“We’ve worked extremely hard to get to where we’re at. We live very minimally and consciously and work jobs that match our lifestyle and allow us to live the life we do.”
She also said, “I thought the backlash was so silly! I never thought someone could take what I said and turn it into something negative. Thankfully, the negative comments quickly got drowned out by so many positive and kind comments.”
