People Are Sharing Their Worst NYE Stories To Make Us All Feel Better (30 Tweets)

The coronavirus is still raging across America and while many people didn’t have the sense to cancel Thanksgiving or Christmas plans, they just might forgo New Year’s Eve.

That theory is based on the fact that most NYE plans take place in bars, many of which are closed. While it’s sad to celebrate a new year by yourself, many people are happy to say goodbye to 2020, for sure.

Or is it? Sad, that is. A lot of New Year’s Eve celebrations absolutely suck. They often involve a lot of alcohol, drama, cold weather, and expense. We tend to forget that from year to ear, but a thread started by podcaster Erin Gloria Ryan is a great reminder.

“What happened on your personal worst New Year’s Eve?” she asked.
