Pets have a lot of downsides: tons of upkeep, training them, keeping up with grooming. Of course, they have upsides too: Adorable, literally your best friend, constant serotonin. Parents who don’t want a pet usually have good reasons, but it’s pretty hard to not love them once they’re in your house. How can you hate those little paws?
In the subreddit Dads Who Did Not Want Pets, people share pictures and videos of their dads who said they absolutely didn’t want a cat or dog, got one, and are now their best friends. There isn’t much that is more wholesome than this.
