People Confess The Darkest, Marriage Ruining Secrets They’ve Been Keeping From Their Spouses (20 Posts)

I can’t FATHOM keeping some of these from the person I purportedly love, but here we are.

Recently the BuzzFeed Community went ahead and shared the craziest secrets they keep from their spouses and I just can’t pick my jaw up off the floor with so many of these. Marriage is supposed to be about trust and love; I don’t know how people can say they love and trust their spouse when they keep some of these secrets.

Which one is, in your opinion, the absolute worst? Leave me a comment!

1. Sex with family

I’ve had sex with all three of my wife’s sisters multiple times, and she doesn’t know about it yet. I also have one secret child with her oldest sister. She’d kill me if she even heard a rumor about it.”—Anonymous

2. Not for you

My partner found a card in my car for a proposal to marry me…or so she thought. The card was actually meant for another woman I’ve also been dating for three years.”—Anonymous

3. Playboy

I posed for Playboy when I was 18, and I kept it a secret from my husband for years. One day, I finally told him (it’s not something that comes up in conversation very naturally 🤷🏼‍♀️), and he had no problem with it.”—Th3FatPanth3r

4. Hate his kids

I’ve never told my husband that I absolutely HATE the three kids he has from his previous marriage. I’ve despised them since the moment I met them. I can’t stand them. They literally disgust me. They are NOTHING like him.”—Anonymous

5. Double life

I have a double life in every way you can imagine. I reside in two different states, have two different homes, two different names, two different jobs (one made up), two different wardrobes, and even two different sets of friends. I’ve been doing this for about five years, and no one knows. Frankly, I’m exhausted, and yes, I realize I’m an asshole.”—Anonymous

6. More sex with family

My wife has no idea that I gave oral sex to her brother-in-law.”—Anonymous

7. Adult videos

I paid off my college bills ($3,000) by performing in adult videos behind my wife’s back. I even had the producer write the checks directly out to my alma mater.”—Anonymous

8. Dated his cousin

I was in love with my husband’s cousin and had a semi-sexual relationship with him before he stated he wanted to just be friends. I moved on with my now-husband a month or so after that, and we’re happily married, but I still think of his cousin and what could’ve been. He broke my heart by ending things.”—Anonymous

9. Not my first rodeo

I’ve been married and divorced before, but my current husband thinks this is my first marriage. My first marriage occurred when I was young, and it only lasted about two years. I even lied on my new marriage certificate. I will take this one to the grave.”—Anonymous

10. OH GOD

The first time I stayed over at my now-husband’s parents’ house I did a massive poo in their toilet. I’m talking a ~mega log~ that wouldn’t go down. I even tried pushing it down with the toilet brush, but it still wouldn’t flush. The whole family was in the living room, directly underneath the bathroom, and I didn’t want to flush a fourth time to alert them of my mega poo problems. So, I wrapped my hand in toilet paper, fished the poo out of the toilet, and pushed it bit by bit down the bathroom sink, then washed it down so there was no evidence left. I’ve never told a soul!”—Anonymous

11. WTF is with all this sibling sex?

I made out with my husband’s older brother and sister while he was in the other room. I’ll never tell him what happened.”— Anonymous

12. Yeep

A week before I married my wife, I got really drunk with my best friend (a man, like me), and we ended up making out and giving each other blowjobs. During the whole ceremony, we kept exchanging awkward glimpses. We’ve never discussed what happened with each other. I never told my wife (or anyone), but I still think about the experience and get all hot and bothered.”—Anonymous

13. Injections

My husband doesn’t know that I have silicone injections in my ass.”—Anonymous

14. Faked a degree

My husband thinks I finished my bachelor’s degree. I didn’t. I dropped out and faked it for the last semester. That was five years ago, and now we’re married. I still haven’t told him the truth.”—Anonymous

15. Got Pregnant and didn’t keep it.

I got pregnant the very first time my now-husband and I slept together. I was in my very early twenties and didn’t know him well, so there was no question that I’d have an abortion. I never told him about it because I never expected to keep dating him. It was the right call at that time in my life…We’ve now been together for close to a decade and have two amazing kids. He probably will never know because we’ve built such a great life together, and I think it’d be unnecessary to talk about it.”—Anonymous

16. Gambling addiction

My boss got me into online gambling. I lost more than $500 incredibly quickly and have kept it a secret from my husband.”—woonderwooman

17. Lied about eye color

I’ve been lying to my husband about my eye color for our entire relationship. He has poor eyesight and couldn’t originally tell that I wear ultra-realistic prescription color contacts. I’ve worn color contacts for about 10 years and only take them off to shower and to give my eyes a break. We’ve been married for five years now, and he still doesn’t know that this isn’t my actual eye color.”—Anonymous

18. Cheated

I cheated on my spouse with my coworker. Our marriage was already toxic and unhealthy, to the point where I should’ve walked away. I’m glad I left a few months after cheating, but I will never give them the satisfaction of being right about the coworker, especially when they had no proof other than us being friends.”—Anonymous

19. Shoplifted for six months

I went through a six-month period of shoplifting. I wasn’t in the best frame of mind, and I just couldn’t stop. One time I got caught by security at Target, and thankfully they let me go. It could have ended much, much worse. My husband would NOT be okay with that information, and I’ll never tell him.”—Anonymous

20. Fooled around

“When I was engaged, I was at a friend’s wedding and fooled around with another guy. I told my fiancé that the other guy and I only kissed in a random, drunken moment. In reality, we did A LOT more than just one kiss. Now, after more than 10 years of marriage and several kids later, I still feel guilty about it.”—Anonymous
