People Are Not OK with How Old Billie Eilish’s Ex Is

A six-year age gap doesn’t seem like a big deal…. if both people are grown adults, which was NOT the case in Billie Eilish’s past relationship.

The public learned about Eilish’s ex-boyfriend in Apple TV+’s two-hour documentary, Billie Eilish: The World is a Little Blurry.

Through the documentary, we learned Eilish was in a relationship with a Los Angeles-based man named Brandon Quention Adams, also known as Q. He performs under the stage name 7:AMP and featured Eilish on his 2019 album cover.

The two met in 2018, when Eilish was 16 and Q was 22, and the documentary captured their relationship from beginning to end.

The relationship’s inclusion in the doc did not sit well with viewers, who saw an adult man grooming a child.

(Yes, 16-year-old girls are still children.)

This is actually a good question. What did he have in common with a 16 year old? A good rule of thumb when it comes to dating is: make sure the person you’re dating is no longer a dependent on their parents’ tax returns.

And for those who saw the documentary, Q was not a partner Eilish deserved. Many people brought up the scene where Q ditched Eilish during her first-ever Coachella performance. In the documentary, filmmakers included a phone conversation she had with Q about his behavior.

“I said ‘I’m getting you tickets for this and the deal is you have to spend time with me, you have to see me,'” she said. “”We’re at this Interscope party. The one I said I was taking you to, but then you didn’t come. I wanted you to be here dammit.”

During the exchange, the documentary showed footage of Eilish alone at the party.

“My ass was alone the whole day. It’s OK!” she told Q.

Fans didn’t think it was OK, though.

May this be a reminder that anytime you see a grown man with a teenager, you should be concerned.
