Chrissy Teigen Still Feels Belly Kicks On Day Her Son Would Have Been Born

Model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen has been very open about her grief since she miscarried her third child in late September.

In a very vulnerable post on Instagram, she shared photos of what it was like in the hospital room just after she discovered her son, who she named Jack, would not survive.

“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions,” she explained. “It just wasn’t enough.”

Since then, Teigen has frequently shared posts about her emotional state as she goes through the grieving process.

Recently, Teigen explained that she still has a bump on her stomach, because her body hasn’t fully healed or return to its pre-pregnancy state.

In her Instagram post, she revealed she won’t be able to be pregnant again, though she added she is grateful for the two kids she has, Luna and Miles.

“Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why i still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating. But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways. I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again.”

On Wednesday, Teigen shared that this was the week that Jack was due, and it’s bringing up fresh grief.

Teigen also said that she is receiving treatment for endometriosis, which is when the uterine lining grows on the outside of the organ. It’s quite painful and can exacerbate period symptoms.

She shared she was having period contractions that felt just like when a baby kicks in the womb:

Teigen will be receiving surgery for endometriosis, which is yet another thing to physically recover from.
