John Stamos posted a sweet shout-out to Elizabeth Olsen on the success of her show, WandaVision, reminiscing about when she was just a little kid running around the set of her sisters’ show, Full House.
Remember, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are Elizabeth Olsen’s siblings!
“One day she’s a little girl wandering the set, and next thing you know, she’s taking over a whole town, mindcontrolling the citizens to play out her favorite TV Sitcoms! They grow up so fast… Wanda had a vision we’d both be on @disneyplus Check out #BigShot coming in April and @wandavision Tonight,” wrote Stamos on his Instagram account.
WandaVision follows Wanda Maximoff and fellow Avenger, Vision as they live their lives as a married couple in suburbia. However, their story is told through television stereotypes that span across decades, ranging from classic 1950s sitcoms to 1980s family-focused shows that are similar to Full House.
In fact, during Episode 5, WandaVision seeemingly paid homage to Full House during the opening credits, showing Wanda, Vision, Billy, and Tommy running towards the camera in a park and then sitting down to a picnic.
Look familiar? WandaVision director Matt Shakman explained that those two scenes were their way of paying homage to Elizabeth’s “growing up just behind the cameras on that show.”
Stamos’ new show, Big Shot, is about a college basketball coach who is fired from his job for his bad temper and must take a job at an elite all-girls private high school.
