I love jewelry that commemorates a baby’s birth. When my son was born, I got a ring with his name on it, and I wear it every day. Lots of people get necklaces also, with initials or birth dates engraved on them. Celebrities are no different: Sophie Turner gave a peek at her necklace commemorating her daughter Willa’s birth on Instagram yesterday. The necklace is a vertical pendant handing on a chain that reads “22.07.20” — which means little Willa is four months old.
The necklace is by Jennifer Fisher jewelry (a favorite among celebrities), who Turner tagged in her post. “Thank you, @jenniferfisherjewelry,” she wrote with a gif of red lips giving a smooch.
Like many babies born during this stressful pandemic time, Willa hasn’t been out and about as much as infants born, you know, when the world isn’t panicked about getting a potentially lethal illness. Perhaps Willa is a star on Zoom chats or FaceTime calls though.
A source told E! that the new parents “been texting pictures to friends and calling on FaceTime to show her off. Everyone is very excited for them.”
When Willa was born, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Sophie and husband Joe Jonas “are over the moon. The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends. With the pandemic Joe and Sophie have been very cautious about who is around them and their little girl.”
Before Willa’s arrival, Sophie said she and Joe were making the best of quarantine life—and that she was even enjoying having him home more.
“Everything seems to be working out in my favor here because Joe’s a real social butterfly, so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me…It’s like prison for him, but it’s great for me,” she said on Conan.
“He’s DJing at home,” she continued. “But it’s fun! I pour him his drinks. I pour him his alcohol. I give him tequila shots. He’ll text me and be like, ‘What time is it?’ I’ll reply from the kitchen, ‘Shot time,’ and bring him a shot of tequila.”
