For a while, we believed nothing could topple Baby Yoda. That’s until Babu Frik came along, and Babu Frik memes overtook Baby Yoda memes—(ok, we’re not quite there yet, but we’re working on it…)
Audiences were introduced to Babu Frik when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hit theaters Dec. 20. The tiny creature is a droidsmith and people are especially taken with his adorable catchphrase “Hey heyy!”
We’re not joking, and yes, it is so gosh darn cute.

Luckily, Emily brought us back down to reality and made us realize what is most important: that we get to have both Babu Frik and Baby Yoda.
Babu Frik and Baby Yoda are both very good boys and I will not stand for people trying to make it a competition. pic.twitter.com/gSbuIJtbZ9

As a few Twitter users pointed out, it’s important to note that acclaimed Scottish actress Shirley Henderson (aka Moaning Myrtle for Harry Potter fans) is responsible for bringing “Hey heyy” into the world.
not enough people are talking about how shirley henderson is the voice of babu frik pic.twitter.com/Hgcvyf2lwX
