A group of angry fans are petitioning to have Amber Heard removed from the upcoming Aquaman 2 (scheduled for a 2022 release). The call-out comes amid legal clashes linked to the actress’s messy divorce from Johnny Depp.
Over one million people have signed a Change.org petition titled “Remove Amber Heard From Aquaman 2.”
The caption starts:
“Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.”
“Also, Amber Heard was arrested in 2009 for abusing a former domestic partner, Tasya Van Ree, demonstrating a repeated pattern of abuse by Amber Heard.”
Though it hasn’t been officially green-lit, the film is expected to begin filming in 2021.
“I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back,” Heard told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m so excited to film that.”
The description also states that ‘men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women.’
100% boycotted.
WarnerBros. knew of these ‘allegations’ prior to casting Johnny Depp, but still chose to cast him. Have they seen and listened to all the content of Amber Heard abusing Johnny? They should sack her from Aquaman to make their stance actually seem genuine, smh. pic.twitter.com/cfkdzJv7Pr

Depp had been asked to resign from his role as Grindelwald in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts 3, after shooting a single scene of the project. The actor lost his libel case against The Sun newspaper and executive editor Dan Wootton, based on an article published in The Sun, in which Depp was called a “wife-beater.”
Though Depp has vigorously denied any allegations, the newspaper insisted having seen “overwhelming evidence” that Depp attacked the 34-year-old Heard.
The same paper reported Depp would still receive his $10 million salary despite his limited involvement.
