Some movies need a longer run time in order to tell a long, complicated story that’s full of nuance, drama, suspense, or other elements that can’t be rushed. However, a good number of them would have been over in 30 minutes or less if the main character just listened to the common-sense advice they received from other, smarter people in the story.
