Ruin My Week
Sometimes you can get so into the dull routine of doing your job you forget to take a minute to step back and think about what you’re doing. You zonk out, daydream, and end up making an incredibly stupid mistake. It happens! It turns out the same is true of the brave men and women who decorate cakes for a living. And that’s why we have so many funny cake fails.
Everyone loves a good funny cake fail—the sloppy writing, typos, and hilarious miscommunications. But these cakes all represent a very special kind of funny cake fail. Sure, these decorators screwed up, but they all seem to have followed instructions to the letter (you can certainly follow their logic, at least). That’s gotta count for SOMETHING, right?
1. “You said you want ‘nothing’ on the cake? Done and done.” —this cake decorator probably.
2. Nailed it.
3. “Did Comma Laura not like her cake?” —this decorator
4. Hey, at least it’s in purple?
5. And this one’s got the blue flowers. Can’t be mad about that.
6. “Sounds weird, but ok!”—this decorator
7. What did Heather do to deserve this?
8. A timeless graduation message, really.
9. I hope whoever ordered this didn’t have to pay by the letter.
10. Can’t really fault them for this cake fail. It’s pretty tough to make a good circle with frosting.
